Hello and welcome to PictoGraphic, my semi-daily picture journal. I will try to update the site daily, but i can't make any promises, due to my very busy schedule.
I recently purchased a Panasonic Lumix SLR, Leica Lens and 12x Optical Zoom, and i am loving it so far! I am strictly an amateur when it comes to photography. I am only still learning, so don't expect my pictures to be that good, at least for now. Hopefully, in less than a year perhaps, i'll get better and chronical my progress with this website.

A little about me

My name is Lola, but you can call me Lo for short. In fact, i have come to prefer being called Lo ever since everyone thought it'd be fashionable to name their kids Lola *cough* Denise Richards*cough*Kelly Ripa*cough*.

I am a newly turned 23 year old who resides in Dirty Jerz (New Jersey for all you out of towners) but spends most of her time in NY. I work in Midtown Manhattan as a Development Engineer Consultant for a hugely popular cosmetics/fragrance/consumer goods company. I also attend graduate school full time at Polytechnic University in Downtown Manhattan/Upper Brooklyn (Wall Street to be precise). I major in Financial Engineering. Oh yeah, i got my Bachelor of Science in Materials Science Engineering degree from the GREAT school in New Jersey...maybe you've heard of it? Rutgers!!!! Eh, what can i say, i love my alma mater!

As far as my interests go, i am "box full of tricks" as my buddy J would say. I like a lot of things that might not be matched up to me just by looking at me. I won't bore you by running you through the list, but i will tell you this one very important thing: I am a Yankees nut and a HUGE baseball fanatic. So expect to see a lot of related pics on here from time to time.

I am a wannabe linguist, because i am simply fascinated by other languages. I make people speak to me in their native tongue even if i have not one clue what they are saying. I just like to listen and marvel at the fact that there are soooo many languages. Yeah, i know it sounds crazy, but as long as i understand me, thats all that matters =). I speak Conversational German, and thanks to one of my co-workers, i get to practice almost everyday. I just also started learning Italian and Spanish. I am learning them together because i originally set out to learn Italian, but discovered Spanish is very similar, and spoken more in the states, so i took a Spanish class.

Music wise, i absolutely LOVE Linkin Park. I adore John Mayer and the Gorillaz can hang. There are so many more artists, but i wont go into a detailed list. Just know i listen to music, not genre. Nothing stops me from jamming to a quality Country song the same way i'd turn up the beat to Ciara. As long as its a good song, you've got me.
